Our Mission
WomanSpirit Center
nurtures spiritual growth
to ignite positive change,
one woman at a time.

Our Vision
We realize there are physical, emotional, intellectual and prayerful elements which need to be nurtured in our relationship with God and with one another. It is our conviction that the realization of the feminine within the spiritual development of the person (woman or man) can have a profound impact and can transform the world from its violence, aggression and partriachal focus.

WomanSpirit Center celebrates and connects by creating an environment and experiences that free the spirit and deepen growth.

In touching our hopes, our dreams, our God, we touch the sacredness of the universe. At WomanSpirit Center, you will find a setting which allows you to explore, ponder, learn and experience in safety. Hope promises new life for our world.

We focus on three specific areas:

Spirituality
The spiritual search for each person is unique and special. Spirituality is recognized in the inner, deep hunger for connections and meaning. Some persons express spirituality within a religious tradition; others find it in nature, the arts, community or work. Whichever path you choose, WomanSpirit Center provides opportunities to help you nourish and clarify your spirituality.

Personal Growth and Transitions
How do you care for your emotional well being? What do you do to nurture your innermost self? WomanSpirit Center provides opportunities and space for healing and reclaiming those aspects of Self which may have been destroyed, buried or never realized. Come discover your true Self, reclaim your Voice and move forward with greater creativity, conviction and assurance.

Feminine in the World
Freeing feminine energies to move into creative partnership in the world is at the heart of WomanSpirit Center. Promoting solidarity with all creation, recognizing critical human needs, and emphasizing the urgency to move toward interdependence, connection and relationships are the fruits. Essentially all of our programs promote the feminine in the world, while some address this goal explicitly.

We create a quiet space which will accentuate individual deepening and transformation.

We reverence diverse cultures and spiritualities.

We affirm the value and strength of the feminine energies which have the power to change our world.
Those who have come for times of reflection, retreats, workshops and prayer have touched us deeply as they focus on their transformation. The depth and power they bring to the world is palpable. Their experience changes lives.

They bring their friends the next time.

Our circle of connections is growing and the influence of WomanSpirit Center is making a difference in the lives of families, and communities. That is the power that transforms our world ~ one woman at a time.

We offer excellent presenters, staff and volunteers
We bring top quality presenters to WomanSpirit Center to lead workshops, seminars and retreats. Our programs have expanded to utilize the skills and talents offered by our presenters.

Our staff members and volunteers are committed to making our world a better place by creating opportunities for personal growth.

We are becoming known as a place where those who come can nurture and discover themselves.

From what was to what is
WomanSpirit Center opened its doors in 1998. Until 2006, we were sponsored by the Sisters of Providence.

2006 was an extraordinary year for WomanSpirit Center. It was our first year without sponsorship. The pioneering efforts to begin this work leaves us a wonderful legacy on which we to build. During each consecutive year we continue to touch the lives of more and more persons. In 2006, we served more than 3,000 women and men.

The beginning 2007 found us in a new space at 1400 112th Ave SE, #100 in Bellevue, WA. We have meeting rooms for the various groups and workshops, a quiet room for just “being” and a conference center for other events. Our new offices are nestled in the Protected Wetlands of Bellefield Office Park. Trails abound and we often see herons, ducks, a family of otters and squirrels and bunnies. In this new space, more persons experienced their own spirits being touched empowering them to move forward.

For us, witnessing this is always a humbling experience. Witnessing the transformation occur in the lives of so many women helps to increase our energy and passion for WomanSpirit Center. The help of many volunteers and friends help make this possible.

We to continue the work of WomanSpirit Center to ingnite positive change in our world ~ one woman at a time.

Our circle continues to expand . We offer life changing programs, retreats, days of quiet, spiritual direction as well as a "place to be and a place to become."
